    How does this rug hold up with a dog in the house? Also- are all smaller pieces of the rug $425.00? Thinking of adding a small piece near a doorway.

    Answer
    Ellis is a flatweave with a minimal low-high contrast on the surface, so it's a better option than a looped-pile for active pets since is less of a chance a pets claws can become hooked on a loop. If your pet is prone to many accidents, we'd recommend something that can tolerate strong cleaning products and wipes up easily, like an indoor/outdoor style. If that isn't a concern, Ellis should work great. Each of our styles has a minimum cost regardless of how small the size is due to the labor that goes into making, serging, and packaging the product.

    Could this be used as a stair runner? If so- would you recommend using a rug pad?

    Hi Stacy, Ellis makes a great choice for a stair runner. We recommend working with your installer for any padding you may need to go underneath, but do not recommend purchasing a rug pad through us for a stair runner installation.
